About Friends of Gabey

Meet Gabey (Gabriel), the world’s best boy. He made every day a little brighter. After many wonderful years together, Gabey’s time on this earth came to an end, but his bright light continues to shine.

 

In December 2023, one month after Gabey’s passing, we started Friends of Gabey as a way to honor his memory by bringing attention to senior and special needs cats in need of extra love. By donating to shelters to sponsor their adoption fees, we’ve aimed to lower the barrier to adoption and help these cats find the forever homes they deserve. Many of them have been adopted soon after, so we’re very proud of Gabey and the goodness he continues to bring to the world.

Our Commitment

One of the reasons we started Little Friendships was to generate extra income that would allow us to sponsor even more cats in need. To support this mission, we are setting aside 25% of all sales profits to go toward sponsoring more cats like these. We may also occasionally offer special items where 100% of the profits will directly fund the sponsorship of more Friends of Gabey.

Whether or not you support our efforts by shopping with us, we wholeheartedly encourage you to donate to local pet rescues or shelters whenever you’re able. It’s incredibly rewarding to select an animal to sponsor and know that you’re directly helping them find a forever home. If you do choose to sponsor, we hope you’ll think fondly of a special animal in your life—like Gabey is to us—and the impact they’ve had on your heart.
